Another BP Podcast is up. You can listen on Libsyn , iTunes , Spotify , and Stitcher. You can also support the podcast as a patron. The primary benefit now is that you get the podcasts considerably earlier than everyone else. Would appreciate more positive reviews! Help make us the biggest browncast there is! I am a physician interested in obesity and insulin resistance, and in particular in the genetics and epigenetics of obesity As a blogger, I am more interested in history, Islam, India, the ideology of Pakistan, and whatever catches my fancy.
Sadanand Dhume writes about South Asian political economy, foreign policy, business, and society, with a focus on India and Pakistan.
My opinions can change. View all posts by Omar Ali. I think I got a better idea of the kind of man Dhume is from the podcast. I think a lot of that stems naturally from his affluent, deracinated origins. Still, that makes him ill-suited to be a figure of importance in the current India, which is undergoing rapid sociocultural change and political tumult.
I can honestly say I have emerged stupider from every column of his that I have read.
Sadanand Dhume is a writer and journalist based in Washington, DC. His first book, My Friend the Fanatic: Travels with an Indonesian Islamist, is published by Text Publishing in Missing: abraham.
I probably have similar views on economic affairs to Dhume. The difference is that I understand the context and importance of Hindu cultural resurgence, and Dhume does not.
